About me I
have been working as a celebrant since 2000
when I completed a Certificate in Celebrant Studies from the Auckland
University of Technology. It is work I am passionate about and
follows on from my life as a mother to three now adult children and
grandmother to two terrific grandsons.
My working background
prior to becoming a celebrant was as a Personal Assistant. I
enjoy being organised, combining this with creativity and flexibility
to meet your individual needs. Amongst my hobbies are writing and
reading across a wide range of genres. This love of words, of
poetry, I use to enhance the story you bring to me of your love; your
relationship.
Education of celebrants I
am interested in the ongoing education of celebrants and have been
involved in organising a National Conference for celebrants and an
Education Forum to help facilitate this learning. To this end I am a
member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand and previously held
positions of Secretary, Treasurer and President of the Wellington
Branch.
What you can expect My
style has been described as warm, open and inclusive of all who attend
a ceremony. I see it as my job to ensure you feel supported on
your special day and that an air of celebration, calmness and kindness
prevails.
I offer couples a no obligation meeting so you have a chance to meet me.
My fee for a wedding is $400 plus mileage to cover travel to your venue.
Coming from outside of New Zealand? If
you live overseas and are planning to marry in Tauranga, I have
plenty of experience in working with people for whom this is their
situation. Communicating via email and if necessary, by phone, meeting
beforehand a few days before your wedding, results in a sincere and
meaningful wedding ceremony for you. Please contact me if you would like to meet with me, or I can provide you with more information about my services and myself.
